Good News While Shopping for Local Produce!
Yesterday, I traveled to Charlottesville, Virginia, where I found a great little market called the Integral Yoga Natural Foods. There, they make fresh vegetable juices and smoothies.
They also carry fresh local produce, so I was delighted to be able bring back some fresh, locally grown watercress, baby arugula, and clover sprouts! While I was there, the nurse from my surgeon’s office called, as a part of my bi-annual regular follow-ups, and gave me the good news that my most recent labwork to check my cancer markers came back normal! These tests consist of looking at the CA-125, Inhibin A, and Inhibin B. When she gave me this great news, I felt simply elated. I no longer take anything for granted. After being in hospice care and given the prognosis that I had 1-2 months to live in 2013, the experience has defintely changed my perspective in a profound way and given me a deep sense of gratifude for the gift that is life. I thank God for His grace and mercy on my life and am blessed to be able to help others with what I have learned from my personal experience.
